Bar-B-Que and Bullets

Happy Memorial day weekend everybody!

It's been raining all weekend, and by L.A. standards, I mean it drizzled for about 20 minutes but remained cloudy all weekend. Last night was my beloved Jenny's bachelorette party, which I was not able to attend. I really wish I could've, only because the parts that were most fun (according to Jenny) were the parts that I planned. Like wearing a penis tiara (straight from Hustler Hollywood), a t-shirt in which guys wrote thier numbers on, and a checklist of crazy things to do in the bar like find a guy with the same name as the groom and get a pic with him. Jenny looked like she had so much fun! and I so happy that she did, she never was a crazy partier, ever really, so this one night of fun will remain in her memory for a long long time.

My Mem. Day weekend is longer than yours...

I"m making up for lost time on this blog. Here is my entry from thursday 5/23/08:

I'm sitting in Karma Coffeehouse which is THEE first coffeehouse I ever stepped foot in in Los Angeles. that was 2 years ago, I can't believe I've been here for 2 years already. But the worst part of that previous statement is that when I think of Karma Coffeehouse now, it's not about days past, it's about the HILLS. My favorite coffeehouse has been bastardized because Spencer walked into it with his cameras in one of the last episodes of the Hills. EW!!!. I used to be mildly entertained by the ridiculousness of the show, but now they've gone too far by invading MY coffeehouse in which the homeless can be sleeping. I hate MTV.

It's amazing though, how there are so many establishments on the corner of Cahuenga and Selma. If there were just a few more, I would walk my ass up here from my house. I would find myself walking in a town where walking is taboo, but g-d forbid you weigh more than 100 lbs. It's seriously starting to get to me, the "L.A. breed" that is. I have good friends, an amazing boyfriend who loves me and a strong family base, but no matter how not on camera I am, an no matter how secure I am, it gets to me.

And it's so ridiculous because more often than not I find guys looking at me rather than my blonde pilates robot girlfriend. I actually think there will be a "curve revolution" coming soon. I mean, a full figured model won America's Next Top Model, and it's about damn time! I bet she's my size. It'll be a throw back, to the 40's and 50's where hips were appealing to look at.

After much arm twisting by Whit, and when I say twisting I mean she made me look at her blog, I am now a blogger!

Today is my second day as an unemployed freelance producer. I'm going crazy. I NEED to do something, and that something needs not involve money, unless it involves food- mama needs to eat!

I'm slowly cleaning my room, which I"m disguising at packing for Israel, otherwise, I wouldn't clean. I'm staff on a birhtright trip called "Israel Outdoors". We're leaving June2-12. It's been over 3 years since I've been in Israel. My last few times I spent more than a month there, learning/living/studying, so this will be a welcomed trip. I'm excited to spend time there with peers who haven't ever been before. They have so much to experience; Masada, Dead Sea, the Kotel, Banana Beach, shoko beSakit! I can't wait to help usher them into a time in their lives that they will NEVER forget. This trip will change their lives.

I'm off for now.

Peace and Love,
